Lachlan Bryan is probably best known as frontman and songwriter for The Wildes, an alt-country four-piece formed with best friends Mat Duniam, Shaun Ryan and Andy Wrigglesworth. In 2009, The Wildes released their debut album independently, to rave reviews. The title track, Ballad of a Young Married Man, has since turned up all over the place on compilations and soundtracks, as have several other cuts from the album. The band has toured continuously.Whilst still performing with The Wildes, Lachlan has recently recorded his debut solo album - Shadow of the Gun - for Core Music, through Sony Music Australia. The album features an all-star band and a few special guests such as Bill and Kasey Chambers. The dark themes and narrative streams are there as always, but there's a distinct 'singer-songwriter' vibe to the record, as opposed to some of the bar band elements of The Wildes' catalogue. On tour, audiences will receive the best of both worlds, with The Wildes joining Lachlan to perform highlights from both Ballad of a Young Married Man and Shadow of the Gun.

Lachlan Bryan is a 2012 musical with a runtime of 32 minutes.
