Land of the Maharajas: The Land of Death Takes the viewer to the western part of Rajasthan. In the yellow city of Jaisalmer we visit its vibrant fort with the impressive Jain temples, the palace and the cenotaphs of the maharajas. Later we get to Jodhpur, the siege of the old Marwar territory, nicknamed 'The Land of Death', an impressive fort situated on top of a hill, where we encounter traces of the women self immolation tradition named sati. Outside of Jodhpur is Salawas, a village renowned for the cotton carpet weaving and passing through Pokaran we end up and at Ranakpur where is located a jewel of a Jain temple, maybe the most beautiful in the entire world.
