Lebanon: Elie And His Lute is a 2007 drama film. Elie is a unique person in his neighborhood. He possesses a prodigious skill in playing the lute, or oud in Lebanese. But his passion is put in jeopardy when an accident damages his oud and renders it unplayable. Distraught but determined to continue playing Elie seeks to repair his beloved instrument and keep the music alive in the neighborhood. While at the music shop to repair his oud, Elie makes a surprising discovery. When playing other lutes Elie comes to realize each different oud has their own unique sound.
