Little Tough Guy is a 1938 American drama film that spawned three sequels. The film is about the son of a man wrongfully sentenced to death. As his family is forced to a poor section of New York and his sister must dance at a burlesque show to raise money, the young man enlists his newsboy friends to help him find proof that his father is not guilty. When they fail to convince a judge, his life begins to spiral out of control. He throws a brick through the judge’s window and begins to commit petty crimes. He is captured after a friend is killed by police that had chased them from a failed drug store robbery.
