London Heist (also known as Gunned Down) is a 2017 British crime-thriller film, directed by Mark McQueen, starring Craig Fairbrass, James Cosmo, and Mem Ferda. The film follows career criminal Jack Cregan (Fairbrass) who, after witnessing his father's brutal murder, embarks on a revenge mission that leads him into the dangerous world of organized crime.

Jack, who had just returned from Amsterdam, finds out that his father Alfie Cregan (Cosmo), one of the East End's most notorious gangsters, has been murdered in a robbery gone wrong. He quickly realizes that the police investigation is getting nowhere, so decides to take matters into his own hands. He discovers a hidden safe, containing crucial evidence that could shed light on his father's murder, and also uncovers a deadly web of deception and betrayal that threatens to destroy everything he holds dear.

The film packs a lot of action along with strong performances from the lead cast. Craig Fairbrass, who also co-wrote the script, gives a riveting performance as Jack, portraying him as a hardened criminal who's not afraid to get his hands dirty but also retains a moral code. James Cosmo, who plays Alfie Cregan, delivers a fine performance with a strong emotional core that cements the emotional bond between the father and the son.

The movie wastes no time in setting up the main conflict, and the story is fast-paced with plenty of twists and turns that keep the audience hooked. The plot is entangled in a web of deceit and betrayal, with the dangerous underworld of London's criminal underworld providing ample opportunities for the characters to showcase their mettle.

Mem Ferda plays Mr. Kyriacou, the ruthless head of a rival gang, who Jack believes is responsible for his father's death. Ferda's portrayal of the charming yet merciless gangster is captivating and it's not surprising to see him hailed as one of the best villains in the movie.

The supporting cast which includes Nick Moran as Carter, Jack's closest friend, and Nathalie Cox as Ashley, Jack's ex-girlfriend provides some interesting dynamics that add layers to the story. Many subplots in the film contribute to the overall mood and tone of the film, but ultimately they all converge and create a satisfying plot ending.

The film's action sequences are well choreographed, and the use of practical effects over CGI adds to the gritty realism of the environment. There are plenty of car chases, shootouts, and fistfights that will satisfy fans of the genre. The film manages to balance its action with the emotional intensity that comes from the father-son bond and the themes of loss, anger, and revenge.

London Heist is a solid thriller that proves to be a worthy addition to the genre. The plot is engaging, the action is well executed, and the performances are top-notch. The film captures the gritty realism of London's underworld with sharp precision, painting an unflinching and violent portrait of the crime-ridden city.
