Mi Calle in English means My Street. This is a 1960 drama filmed in Spain by acclaimed Irish director Edgar Neville. The movie is about the happenings in a typical Madrid neighborhood street. There's interaction between the characters throughout, and things don't appear to be what they seem to be. For example, a gay man kills a love interest that spurned his advances by throwing him down the tracks of a moving train, he later commits suicide. An allegedly faithful family woman gets more than the weekly allotment of milk from the milkman. The street neighbors are politically divided between those who support the Fascist movement in the 1960s or Revolution supporters. Odd happenings take place, based on either race or political affiliation throughout the film.
