Watch Microprocessor Chronicles

  • 2006

Starting at the beginning, with the first useful technologies in computing, this four hours long documentary illustrates the history of computing, in amazing detail. It shows computing progressing in sophistication and utility, progressing up to the present, where we are at the beginnings of Light Spectrum Super-massive Parallel Tunneling micro-super-nanotech CPUs that will make magic, into reality. The early days of the microprocessor concept, a step beyond Programmable Logic Array (PLA) microcontrollers, is covered. Many candid, off the cuff questions in a casual atmosphere, answered by pioneers of hi-tech Silicon Valley, such as Ted Hoff, Frederico Faggin, and Gordon Moore.
