Watch Mountain & Steppe Climates
- 2007
- 9 min
This program shows the adaptations that people, plants, and animals have made to survive in the harsh climates of mountains and steppes. In high mountainous regions there is snow cover for many months of the year, but some plants and animals have adapted to this frigid environment. In the far north, deep within the Asian continent, the steppe of Mongolia is a barren land with no trees and only few shrubs. Nonetheless, a robust nomadic people live here with their horses.
