My Babysitter's a Vampire is a 2010 comedy horror movie directed by Bruce McDonald. The movie stars Matthew Knight, Vanessa Morgan, and Atticus Mitchell, and follows the story of Ethan, a teenager who hires a babysitter, Sarah, who turns out to be a vampire. The movie is based on the television show of the same name that aired on Disney Channel.

The film is set in the town of Whitechapel and revolves around the story of Ethan Morgan (played by Matthew Knight), a geeky teenager who always feels like an outsider among his peers. Ethan's parents are going out of town for the weekend, leaving him in charge of his little sister. Ethan's best friend Benny (played by Atticus Mitchell) suggests they hire a babysitter for the weekend so they can attend a local larping event they've been looking forward to.

Ethan's sister Jane (played by Ella Jonas Farlinger) is excited to meet their new babysitter, Sarah (played by Vanessa Morgan), who happens to be the new girl in town. As soon as Sarah arrives, Ethan starts to get suspicious of her; for starters, she's always wearing gloves and refuses to come into the house unless invited. Despite his suspicions, however, Ethan decides to give Sarah a chance and allows her to take care of Jane.

As the night goes on, strange things begin to happen. Ethan notices that Sarah disappears for long periods of time and returns with glowing eyes. The family's pet cat also goes missing, and Ethan discovers that Sarah has a strange aversion to garlic. Ethan starts to believe that Sarah is a vampire, and enlists the help of Benny to figure out a way to stop her.

Meanwhile, Sarah reveals to Jane that she is, in fact, a vampire, but assures her that she doesn't drink human blood. She also reveals that there are other supernatural creatures out there, including werewolves and zombies. Jane, excited by the prospect of meeting these creatures, begs Sarah to take her along on her next excursion.

As Ethan and Benny continue to investigate Sarah's true nature, they discover that she is part of a larger plan to resurrect an ancient evil known as the "Vampire Council." The Council is a group of powerful vampires who plan to take over the world and enslave humans. Ethan and Benny must set aside their differences and work together to stop Sarah and the Vampire Council from achieving their ultimate goal.

Throughout the movie, there are many comedic moments that keep the tone light, even though the subject matter is dark. The movie uses a lot of special effects to bring the supernatural creatures to life, which are impressive for a made-for-TV movie. The acting is solid, with Matthew Knight giving a convincing performance as Ethan, the awkward teenager who learns to appreciate his own abilities. Vanessa Morgan is also excellent as Sarah, the vampire babysitter with a heart of gold.

Overall, My Babysitter's a Vampire is an entertaining movie that is perfect for a family movie night. It's funny, suspenseful, and has a positive message about the importance of friends and family. The movie was popular enough to spawn a television series, which ran for two seasons on Disney Channel. If you're looking for a movie that combines horror and comedy in a way that's suitable for all ages, then My Babysitter's a Vampire is definitely worth checking out.
