Filmmaker Abby Rhodes is an only child whose parents were killed in a freak accident at a zoo. They thought it was a petting zoo. They were wrong. Abby discovers that she had an uncle, Peter, whom she never knew existed until she receives a box of his personal effects in the mail. She learns that he moved to Europe after high school and never looked back, playing guitar in a number of bands to survive. He too was killed in a freak accident at a zoo. Coincidence? Heredity? Freakish bad luck? Abby will never know. But she decides to make a film about him.
