"My ride with Uber and Lyft" follows taxi drivers in Boston from 2012, through the transition to Uber, and ends at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2022. All participants are immigrants who talk about why and how they became cab drivers, the physical and financial difficulties of the job. Their strong desire to get out of the business, was promise of independence and economic freedom.
