The 2005 Burmese film, The Mystery of Snow centers on a boy whose father has apparently fallen and disappeared into a glacier ravine while on a search for a rare butterfly. Throughout the story, the boy enlists the assistance of the Rawin guide who had been assisting his father. The film earned seven awards including Best Supporting Actor and Best Film.
