This picture tells a powerful story that reflects the extreme instances of injustice that plagued the state of Mississippi for over four decades. In the year 1964 there was a violent triple murder that took place resulting in the deaths of James Chaney, Andrew Goodman, and Michael Schwermer. Although members of the Ku Klux Klan openly rejoiced and admitted to the murders, no single individual was put on trial until 41 years later. The film takes an intimate look into the lives of the family of the victims, retired members of the Klan, and also boasts an interview with Ray Killen, the leader of the Klan who authorized the killings.
