In August 2001 architect and artist Micheal Arth and his pregnant wife moved to a crime infested town nicknamed 'crack town.' Arth and his wife bought several homes and complexes scheduled for demolition and began the repairs. The residents seen them making an effort to clean up their town and pitched into help. Arth recruited the help of drug dealers and gang members, giving them the chance to change their lives around. This emotional journey gave many residence hope to turn the town into the community they could be proud of.
