Nihon Igai Zenbu Chinbotsu, translated into English as Everything Other than Japan Sinks, is a Japanese black comedy from 2006 and is intended as a parody of the film, Nihon Chinbotsu. 2011 is the year that marks the largest earthquake in recorded history, rendering the continents of Africa, Australia, Eurasia, North America, and South America completely submerged beneath the oceans. Only Japan's islands remain unaffected and leave the single country as the sole destination for anyone who survived the tectonic terror. Beyond the necessary adjustment to a rapid influx of languages and cultures, Japan's sustainability is quickly brought into question.
