Watch Nirbachana

A contest of political will is the focus of this dramatic movie. The chief of a poor village needs money for his daughter's dowry. To raise it, he forces the people to work at the local quarry. They hate the work and the destruction of their land. When they have had enough, another local man tells them he wants to be their new chief. He pays them money for their votes. When faced with this stranger, the old chief adopts a man who is sick with tuberculosis and promises he will be cured. If he can live long enough, the people will vote the old chief back into office.
