However, after being laid off Frank is confronted with finding meaning in his life and dealing with his low self-esteem that has plagued him for his entire life. His best friends gather to support him, and out of a joke made by one of them Frank decides to take on the goal of swimming the English Channel. Frank trains for his great swim while being surrounded by his colorful cast of friends and eventually embarks on the task of swimming the channel.
