Our Man in Jamaica is a 1965 adventure-comedy film directed by Ted Sturgis and starring Larry Pennell, Margitta Scherr, and Roberto Camardiel. Set in the picturesque Caribbean island nation of Jamaica, the movie follows the misadventures of a bumbling American tourist named Michael Tremayne (Pennell), who gets unwittingly embroiled in a scheme involving stolen jewels, beautiful women, and dangerous criminals.

The film opens with Tremayne arriving in Jamaica for a vacation, eager to enjoy the sun, sea, and sand. He soon meets a beautiful and mysterious woman named Samantha (Scherr), who seems to be interested in him. However, things take a turn for the worse when Tremayne is robbed of his luggage, passport, and money by a group of thugs. Desperate and lost, he turns to Samantha for help, not realizing that she is actually a pawn in a larger criminal scheme.

Samantha's boss, a ruthless criminal mastermind named Mr. Big (Camardiel), has stolen a precious jewel known as the Eye of the Moon from a wealthy princess. He plans to sell the diamond to the highest bidder and use the money to fund his criminal empire. However, Mr. Big's plans are in jeopardy when he discovers that the Eye of the Moon has been hidden inside a souvenir camera bought by Tremayne.

Mr. Big orders his henchmen to retrieve the camera from Tremayne, but their attempts are thwarted by the bumbling tourist. Tremayne, unaware of the camera's true value, keeps losing it and getting it back, causing chaos wherever he goes. Along the way, he meets a colorful cast of characters, including a local fisherman named Skipper (played by Jamaican actor Stanley Irons) and a British secret agent named Major Harriman (played by veteran character actor Sydney Tafler).

As the plot thickens, Tremayne and Samantha find themselves caught in the middle of a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse between Mr. Big and Major Harriman, who is also after the jewel. Along the way, they encounter gunfights, car chases, and even a voodoo ceremony. Can Tremayne and Samantha survive the perilous adventure and solve the mystery of the Eye of the Moon?

Our Man in Jamaica is a light-hearted and entertaining romp that captures the spirit of 1960s adventure comedies. Larry Pennell shines as the affable and hapless Michael Tremayne, who is constantly in over his head but manages to stay optimistic and good-natured. Margitta Scherr is alluring and mysterious as Samantha, while Roberto Camardiel is suitably menacing as the villainous Mr. Big.

The film also features stunning vistas of Jamaica's beaches, jungles, and architecture, as well as memorable scenes of local culture and music. The soundtrack features a catchy Caribbean-themed score by composer Les Baxter, as well as energetic calypso and reggae tunes.

Overall, Our Man in Jamaica is a fun and colorful movie that will entertain fans of classic adventure films as well as those looking for a nostalgic glimpse of 1960s pop culture.
