In 2008 a film crew documenting the Cartel Wars along the US-Mexico border met Shawna Forde and her organization Minuteman American Defense. Quickly realizing she was an extremist and a story in and of herself they began following her and her team. In 2009 Shawna and her team engaged in a brutal assault on a suspected low level marijuana smuggler and his daughter.
