Watch Pinocchio

The 1940 original Disney American Animated film Pinocchio was a Disney classic that has grown to become a very well known movie. Pinocchio is a legendary film that was able to earn over $83 million and gain a 100% from all movie critics. According to Walt Disney, Pinocchio is a great film that will teach people life lessons. Its beautifully crafted animation and emotionally resonant film was said to really touch anyone's hearts. After singing the movies signature song of "When You Wish upon a Star" throughout the opening credits, the forever popular Jiminy Cricket then explains how he will be telling a story of an actual wish coming true. When Jimmy opens the book, in a flashback, he explains how he moved to the workshop called the woodworker Geppetto where he went to keep himself warm through the night. The old woodworker has been living all alone with only his fish Cleo and cat Figaro by his side. Jiminy then sees Geppetto finishing a wooden marionette that he named Pinocchio. Before Gepetto fell asleep, he made a wish to a star that his creation Pinocchio would become an actual boy. During that night, the star, which was in a form of a shiny Blue Fairy, visits Geppetto's workshop to grant his wish. She then grants his wish by bringing Pinocchio to life, while sustaining his puppet form. When Pinocchio comes to life, the fairy tells him that if he really wants to be a real boy made from flesh and blood for good, he must prove to be truthful, unselfish, brave and able to know whats right and wrong by following his conscience. Since Pinocchio has no idea what a conscience is, Jiminy comes out and explains what it is. The Blue Fairy then asks if Jiminy could be Pinocchio's conscience, which he then accepts. The story shows how honesty and integrity is very important in life. It was said to be a movie for young kids who still aren't certain how to listen to their conscience.
