This film settles in on three friends, Joe, Kevin and Mickey (played by Chad Lindberg, Pierce Forsythe and William DePaolo respectively). The trio, while unhappy in their lives and wishing for more financial success, find themselves in quite a predicament when a large amount of ecstasy winds up in their possession after an evening of partying in a local nightclub. Finding the drugs on the floor at the nightclub, at first the group is at odds amongst themselves at what to do, but ultimately they decide that they should take advantage of the situation and sell the ecstasy for some fast cash. This is exactly what they set out to do. Foolishly, they agree to distribute the drugs for a local dealer, with their target customers being their own neighbors, coworkers and friends. When their greed gets the best of them, and they decide to take on bigger business they realize that things aren't that simple. Soon they're launched into a world that they don't belong in, they don't understand and they very well may not survive. Each of the guys is struggling with their own issues that they've created in their mess, including addictions and their friendships start to fall apart. When Lisa (Charlotte Ayanna) is pulled into their nightmare, Joe realizes what a terrible mistake he has made. The people in the lifestyle he has drawn himself and the guys into aren't willing to play nice, and soon enough Lisa is risking her own life to save the three friends. He is desperate to find a way out, before Lisa or one of the guys, including him, wind up dead. And, the chances of that happening are getting slimmer and slimmer as each minute passes. Rounding out the cast is Chazz Palminteri (Vince) and Michael Rapaport (Tommy G), both giving terrific and believable performances. Directed by Dave Rodriguez, the film is action packed, suspenseful and leaves you wanting more.
