(1935, First Division) Hoot Gibson, June Gale, Buddy Roosevelt, Warner Richmond, John Elliott. This is without a doubt one of Hoot's finest westerns. He finds himself in the awkward position of helping out a rancher at odds with Hoot's own father. The real problem it turns out is daddy's crooked partner who's out to undermine the rancher and scarf up his property. Good script, good cast, good acting--this is a marvelous blend of B western action and Gibson's engaging country humor. Recommended. 35mm.
