Ramparts of Clay is a dramatic movie set in North Africa. This is the story of a young girl who grows through life events. Set in Tunisia in 1962 this is a story of promises broken which are a catalyst for change. A man comes to a village to set up a salt mine. All is well until he pays the workers only half of what he promised. They rebel so the man calls in the army to make them work. One young girl rebels with the men.

Seen through the eyes of a young girl with a traditional life this shows the changes which can happen when life goes awry.
