Ride Clear of Diablo is a western film that tells the story of Clay O'Mara (Audie Murphy), a cowboy who returns home after the Civil War to find his family's ranch destroyed and his brother killed. Together, they devise a plan to steal Ransom's loot and use it as bait to lure Ransom and his men into town. But the plan goes awry when Lednov and Clete catch on and capture Whitey.

The final showdown takes place in Ransom's hideout, where O'Mara and his two partners face off against the outlaws in a deadly gunfight. The three heroes emerge victorious, but not before experiencing their fair share of close calls and narrow escapes.

Throughout the film, Murphy delivers a strong performance as the determined and heroic Clay O'Mara.
