Watch Rise: Blood Hunter

Released in 2007, Rise: Blood Hunter is an action-horror vampire movie starring Lucy Liu and Michael Chiklis. This supernatural thriller film grossed nearly $3 million. Rise: Blood Hunter runs a total of 94 minutes. The storyline begins with a reporter named Sadie Blake who has recently published a significant article circling around a covert Gothic nightlife. After the actual publication of the content, one of the sources of the article, Tricia Rawlins, is invited by her acquaintance named Kaitlyn to a party hosted in an isolated house. Tricia is unwilling to enter the house at first due to mixed reasons of having a strict curfew and because of the horrible vibes given by the house, so Kaitlyn enters alone. When she doesn't come back, Tricia becomes suspicious and worried, forcing her to enter the house in search for her friend. To her disbelief and shock, she finds her friend hanging in the basement with two people seemingly sucking her blood. She attempts to hide herself, but the vampires easily find her. The following day, Sadie finds out that the girls died the night before and decides to perform an investigation to find the killer/s. The investigation soon intrigues the party of vampires. Sadie is kidnapped by the cult and begin to question her. After the interrogation, she is raped and killed by the vampires. To her shock, Sadie awakens hanging in a morgue. She escapes immediately, but finds later on that she has been turned into a vampire. She tries to kill herself by jumping off a bridge, but finds that the attempt is futile. She is found and rescued by another vampire named Arturo who isn't as blood thirsty as other vampires. While his true motives are still unknown, the story later reveals that a power struggle between Arturo and the leader of the vampire cult, Bishop, occurred. He assists Sadie in going through her new life and begins to train her to kill when Sadie expresses her intent for vengeance against her killers. Sadie is able to find the vampire cult, picking them out one by one. Subsequently, she combats her thirst for human blood. She soon meets a detective named Clyde Rawlins, the father of Tricia Rawlins. After the death of her daughter, Clyde vowed to hunt and kill his daughter's murderers despite the advice given by his coworkers. Sadie and Clyde team up to pursue and destroy the vampire cult including their violent and vicious leader, Bishop.
