Watch Saat Hindustani

In the wake of the occupation of India by the Portuguese, seven patriotic Indians belonging to different religions and regions strive to raise nationalistic emotions. They do this by hoisting the Indian flag on Portuguese buildings and on their forts. The film, directed by Khwaja Ahmad Abbas, documents their efforts to try and liberate Goa from colonial rule. It is a tale of courage, dedication and self-sacrifice. It is also a testament of how shedding off racial and religious tags and working together despite these differences, is important in nation building.
