Watch Sand & Spider Wasps

Sand & Spider Wasps is a documentary which examines the lives of both types of wasp. It uses special filming techniques to film the waps at a very small scale. This enables the documentary to show some of the more surprising aspects of these wasp's lives. The documentary places much of the focus on the wasp's role as a parent. It shows that the wasps put considerable effort into the care of their young. This includes a display of the wasp's nest building techniques. The documentary also shows how this species of wasp will hunt for food, and then bring it back for the young larva.
