This documentary film deals with the historic Scottsboro Boys case in which a group of nine black men were unjustly convicted of raping a white woman on a train in 1931 Alabama. The men are convicted and sentenced to death. The case becomes so well known and controversial that the Supreme Court becomes involved. This leads to the convictions being overturned, and freedom for some of the defendants.
