Scouts are Cancelled is an intriguing documentary on the life of Nova Scotia-born writer and poet John Stiles. Working as a telemarketer in Toronto, Stiles conjures colorful voices and accents from his childhood while speaking to customers on the phone. Those characters later appear in his open-mike readings and Siles garnered a cult following, which led to two published books.
