In this Dutch drama, Madelief is a young girl who journeys with her mother to the funeral of her grandmother. Madelief feels bored and most uninspired by her visit, until her grandfather encourages her to do some exploring. So the youngster decides that she will investigate what is behind the locked door of her grandmother's summer house and learn some interesting surprises about the old woman that she never knew before.
