This comprehensive and storied DVD is the first in a long line of educational, instructional videos teaching the viewer about both the practice and history of Kung Fu. The film is structured into many small segments which each give the viewer an explanation of a particular style and technique of Kung Fu, unique to the shaolin monks. A big focus of the series is upon history, as the narrator says many times in the introduction, all of Kung Fu originated in the Shaolin Temple.

The DVD is primarily marketed towards a Chinese audience and thus that is the primary language spoken within the film. However, it also has English, French, Chinese and Spanish subtitles.
