Skid Marks is a 2007 comedy film that follows two unlucky friends, Brian and Carl, as they take on a dangerous job for a gangster named Eddie. Brian and Carl are just two regular guys trying to make ends meet in their small town. Brian is a mechanic who is struggling to keep his business afloat, while Carl is a perpetual slacker who bounces from job to job. They're good friends who care about each other, but they can't seem to catch a break.

When they get a job offer from Eddie, a local gangster, they jump at the chance to earn some quick cash. Eddie wants them to steal a valuable car from his rival, Jake. It seems like a simple enough job, but things quickly spiral out of control.

As they attempt to complete the job, Brian and Carl find themselves in one dangerous situation after another. They have to deal with crazy ex-girlfriends, trigger-happy gangsters, and a crooked cop who is on their tail. It's a wild ride filled with car chases, shootouts, and unexpected twists and turns.

One of the highlights of Skid Marks is the chemistry between the two lead actors, Tyler Poelle and Mikey Post. They play off each other perfectly, bringing both humor and heart to their roles. Poelle is particularly good as Brian, the hapless mechanic who finds himself in way over his head. He's sympathetic and relatable, and you can't help but root for him throughout the film.

The supporting cast also does a great job, with Scott Dittman standing out as Jake, the gangster whose car Brian and Carl are trying to steal. He's a menacing presence who adds a sense of danger to every scene he's in.

Another standout aspect of Skid Marks is the humor. It's a silly, zany film that doesn't take itself too seriously. The jokes come fast and furious, and while not all of them land, there are plenty of laugh-out-loud moments.

Despite its lighthearted tone, Skid Marks does have some darker moments. There are scenes of violence and some characters meet untimely ends. However, the film never loses its sense of fun and adventure.

The film's pacing is brisk, with each scene leading into the next at a rapid pace. There's never a dull moment, and the action sequences are well-staged and exciting.

Skid Marks isn't a perfect film, however. Some of the jokes fall flat, and the plot can be a bit convoluted at times. It's also worth noting that the film is very much a product of its time. Some of the humor and references may feel dated to modern audiences.

Overall, though, Skid Marks is a fun, entertaining ride. It's the kind of film that doesn't take itself too seriously and is perfect for a night in with friends. If you're looking for a silly, action-packed comedy, Skid Marks is definitely worth checking out.
