Watch Sovannahong

This Cambodian film, symbolized by a giant phoenix was made by the first Khmer. Sovannahong is a human romancing a giant princess, Soriyong. Sovannahong has visions of the princess, falling madly in love. A fortune teller makes a golden swan for him, which he rides to woo her. Giant women of her court plot to murder Sovannahong. He is injured and flees, still in love, though he believes Soriyong did it. Soriyong, despairing, pursues him now transformed into a giant man. She/he violently defeats forest giants. Finding him injured, she hides her true identity. Physicians heal him and he wonders about the giant warrior.
