Static is a Canadian psychological thriller that follows a successful writer named Jonathan Dade (played by Steve Byers) as he and his pregnant wife Addie (played by Sarah Manninen) move into a new home in the countryside. At the same time, Jonathan's relationship with his wife begins to suffer. Addie grows increasingly frustrated with his obsession and his inability to see reason, and she becomes worried about his mental state. As the film progresses, it becomes clear that their marriage is in danger of falling apart completely.

In the climactic moments of the film, the truth about the strange occurrences in the house is finally revealed, and Jonathan's worst fears are confirmed.
