Stop Me Before I Kill! is a dramatic thriller film released in 1960. It tells the story of a newlywed couple, Alan Colby (Ronald Lewis) and Denise (Diane Cilento), who cross paths with a French psychiatrist, Dr. Prade (Claude Dauphin), while on their honeymoon in the South of France. The film opens with a car accident in which Alan is involved while driving Denise along a winding mountain road. Although she survives the accident, Denise is left deeply traumatized and suffers from a series of panic attacks whenever she gets into a car. Alan goes to great lengths to try and help his wife recover, but nothing seems to work. As a last resort, he seeks the help of Dr. Prade, who specializes in treating patients with similar conditions.

At first, Dr. Prade seems to be making progress with Denise, but as time goes by, Alan begins to suspect that the psychiatrist may have a darker side. He becomes increasingly convinced that Dr. Prade is manipulating both him and Denise for his own purposes, and that his methods may even be putting their lives in danger.

Stop Me Before I Kill! tackles some complex themes, including post-traumatic stress disorder, manipulation, and the nature of sanity. The film is shot in beautiful locations in the South of France, which creates a stunning backdrop for the drama. It also features a superb cast, with standout performances from all three lead actors.

Ronald Lewis gives an excellent performance as Alan, a man struggling to hold his life together as he watches his wife suffer. Diane Cilento is equally impressive as Denise, capturing the character's trauma and vulnerability perfectly. However, it is Claude Dauphin who steals the show as Dr. Prade. His performance is both charming and chilling, and it keeps the audience guessing about his true intentions until the very end.

One of the most impressive aspects of Stop Me Before I Kill! is the way it manages to create tension and suspense without relying on traditional horror movie tropes. The film's most frightening moments come from the characters' interactions with each other, rather than any supernatural elements.

Overall, Stop Me Before I Kill! is a masterful psychological thriller that still holds up well today. It combines a strong script with excellent performances, beautiful locations and some genuinely scary moments. If you enjoy classic thrillers, this is definitely a film worth checking out.

Stop Me Before I Kill! is a 1960 drama with a runtime of 2 hours. It has received moderate reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.0.
