Tagore is a 2003 Indian action drama film directed by V.V. Vinayak, starring Chiranjeevi, Jyotika and Shriya Saran in lead roles. The movie is a remake of the 1992 Tamil film Ramanaa. The story revolves around the character of Ravindra, an idealistic professor who is frustrated by the rampant corruption and injustice in the society. He decides to take matters into his own hands and start a movement to eradicate corruption. He inspires his students and friends to join him in this mission and they form a vigilante group which begins to hunt and punish corrupt officials.

The movie is named after the famous Bengali poet and philosopher Rabindranath Tagore, who believed in the power of education and the need to recognize the individual's potential for making a positive impact on society. The ideals of Tagore are reflected in the teachings of Ravindra, who encourages his students to think critically and use their education to serve society.

Chiranjeevi delivers a powerful performance as Ravindra, portraying the character's transformation from a mild-mannered professor to a fierce revolutionary with conviction. Jyotika and Shriya Saran play supporting roles as his love interests and provide the necessary emotional depth to the story.

The action sequences in the movie are well choreographed and add to the overall impact of the film. The music by Mani Sharma is catchy and the songs are well picturized.

The movie also touches upon the issue of police brutality and the need for police reform. The character of Rathnam, played by Prakash Raj, represents the corrupt and brutal police system which is challenged by Ravindra and his team.

The film received positive reviews from critics and was a commercial success at the box office. It was also dubbed in Hindi as Pratibandh: The Challenge.

Overall, Tagore is an engaging and thought-provoking film which explores the themes of corruption, social justice and the power of education. It is a must-watch for fans of Chiranjeevi and those interested in socially relevant films.
