Terrordactyl is a 2016 comedy-horror film that follows the story of two best friends, who are hapless Los Angeles based exterminators, fighting off an invasion of pterodactyls that descended upon the city after a mysterious meteorite crashes. The movie is directed by Don Bitters III and Geoff Reisner and stars Jenny Allford, Jack E. Curenton, and Bianca Haase in the lead roles.

The movie starts with a meteorite crashing into LA, and a group of three young friends- Lars (Simon Rex), Jonas (Jack E. Curenton), and Candice (Bianca Haase) find themselves in close proximity to the crash site, having consumed copious amounts of drugs prior. As they wander home, they encounter a pterodactyl that snatches Candice; meanwhile, Lars ducks into an alleyway and discovers that his long time best friend, Dash (Jason Tobias), happens to be working as a pest exterminator alongside his partner, Petra (Jenny Allford).

Dash and Petra, after exterminating an apartment filled with giant mutant cockroaches, come across another mutant creature after hearing several loud noises coming from outside. Upon investigation, they realize that it is a pterodactyl, and Dash and Petra make it their mission to capture or kill it, with Lars and Jonas, who have been avoiding the pterodactyls, getting pulled into the conflict as well.

As the movie progresses, the group discovers that the pterodactyls are laying eggs throughout Los Angeles, building a nest in a nearby park, and the city is on the brink of being overrun by the prehistoric creatures. The group decides to take up arms against the pterodactyls and sets out to stop the prehistoric birds from spreading their reign of terror further.

While the overall plot of the movie is simple and predictable, the real charm of the movie is its humorous dialogue and the chemistry between the actors. The jokes are often silly, but the timing and delivery of the lines work well, keeping the audience engaged and entertained throughout the movie.

One of the standout performances is from Jenny Allford, who plays Petra, the ultra-competent and fearless female character, who easily steals the show with her one-liners and hand-to-hand combat. Her macho sidekick Dash, played by Jason Tobias, is another character that effectively blends humor with action, providing an entertaining protagonist viewers can root for as he battles the pterodactyls.

The special effects and CGI of the pterodactyls in the movie are incredibly cheesy, almost to the point of becoming a parody of themselves, but that adds to the comedic value of the film. The pterodactyls look like hand puppets or action figurines, and this over-the-top approach adds to the charm of the movie and instills a sense of nostalgia in viewers.

The movie also has a few subplots that add to the overall story, such as the romantic interest between Lars and Petra, which provides a bit of depth to the characters and moments of emotional vulnerability. The relationship between Lars and Jonas, which begins as a bit of a joke, ultimately develops into a sincere and believable friendship.

Overall, Terrordactyl is a laugh-out-loud comedy that provides ample entertainment and a few jump scares along the way. While the acting and story are not the best, the humor and unconventional special effects make it a movie worth watching. The movie is perfect for viewers who are looking for a fun, nostalgic throwback to the "creature feature" films of the 80s and 90s, with a modern comedic twist added to it.

Terrordactyl is a 2016 action movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 38 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 4.2.
