The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland is a G rated feature film starring one of the most popular Sesame Street Muppets of all time. The movie stars Vanessa Williams, Mandy Patinkin and Kevin Clash as the voice of Elmo. This family comedy teaches the importance of sharing and friendship. Things begin with Elmo enjoying his favorite blue blanket. His friend Zoe is sad about not being able to visit the zoo so Elmo decides to cheer her up by acting like different animals. Zoe is more interested in Elmo's blanket but he refuses to share. This leads to a tug of war which eventually causes the blanket to fly away.

Elmo heads out in search of his blanket and learns that is has ended up in Grouchland, in the hands of a greedy villain named Huxley. As Elmo heads off to find Huxley, Big Bird and Zoe travel to Grouchland to look for him.

Several iconic Sesame Street characters appear throughout Elmo's adventure including Bert and Ernie who provide some of the film's biggest laughs.
