In September of 2010 maverick documentary filmmaker, JoJo Hoppelfefer, brought a small film crew to Texas in search of Bigfoot. The plan was to shoot enough test footage over the course of five days to take back to Los Angeles to show potential investors in hopes of getting funding for a feature documentary on Bigfoot hunters. Through a series of candid interviews with the local "Bigfooters" JoJo chronicles their somewhat bizarre obsession with the ever-elusive beast, as well as their unique, and often unsettling, personal lives. Ultimately, her and her crew are invited to accompany the "Bigfooters" on a night hunt, which is a great opportunity for her to capture more footage, so she jumps at the chance. But as the night unfolds JoJo and her crew find themselves hopelessly lost deep in the Texas mesquite brush with a band of completely dysfunctional misfits as their guides. Tensions rise and danger and death loom, but the camcorders continue to roll as they trek deeper into the brush, determined to find Bigfoot regardless of the cost. And what they do find will change their lives forever.
The Art Of Killing Bigfoot: A Tragic Story Of Love And Loss is a 2012 comedy with a runtime of 1 hour and 28 minutes.
