Most famous as the wife of President Gerald Ford the former First Lady Betty Ford embarked on a journey to the White House with an image as a loving wife and mother. The First Lady was hiding a dark secret throughout much of her time in the White House because of her addiction to alcohol and drugs. Ford then embarks on a journey to battle her own addictions and help others by establishing the Betty Ford Center to help others battling alcohol and drugs.
