At the Summer Olympics in Atlanta in 1996, US Olympic kayak competitor Scott Shipley met a coach from war-torn Bosnia. His new relationship resulted in Shipley donating $50,000 in equipment to a kids' kayaking club in his new friend's hometown of Bijac, Bosnia. In 1999, Shipley went to Bosnia to see how the youth in the club had progressed. This film documents that trip and the story of the club, and it looks at the positive effects athletics can have on people's lives.
