Gardening can be fun (for the prankster if not the pranked) in this early comedic short illustrating the perils of leaving your water hose unattended whilst young rascals are about. It was produced by Bamforth Films, a British production company that flourished from 1898 to 1916. This miniature was likely an unacknowledged remake of a Lumière brothers' film (TABLES TURNED ON THE GARDENER) made five years earlier. - Dennis Harvey
