The Crimson Permanent Assurance is a short skit film by director Terry Gilliam. It was originally conceived as a segment of the Monty Python film The Meaning of Life, but Gilliam expanded the concept into a typically over-budget production. It ended up being a short at the beginning of the film. The film is a high fantasy set in the business world. The employees of an insurance company rebel against their managers, and become rogue businessmen. They launch their building as a pirate ship and proceed to attack other business buildings in the corporate district. The short is typically for Terry Gilliam's unbounded imagination.
