The Degraded is a 1980 short film that is also known by the title Razzhalovannïy. It was penned by Russian film legend Aleksandr Sokurov who also directed the movie. It was Sokurov's second film and starred Ilya Rivin who played the stories chief protagonist. Like much of Aleksandr Sokurov's early film work it showed the struggle of a young person growing up in the military state of the Soviet Union and fighting for individualism.
