Watch The French Democracy

The French Democracy is an animated drama film that was released in 2005 in France. The film recreates the events the led to massive riots in France in 2005. This involved having two immigrant teenage children being electrocuted while being hunted by the police. The ensuing riot resulted in thousands of cars being burned and a heated debate over the French government’s attitude towards Muslim immigrants. The French Democracy is unique in that the film is entirely animated with the use of computers, and the voice work is all done with computer modulated voice samples.
