The film entitled Gnome-Mobile is a musical film centered on the adventures of Mulrooney and his grandchildren. Mulrooney is a popular executive officer working with a timber company. He is known for his peculiar and fervent character and also his strong sense of devotion to his job. He has preserved a virgin forest of redwood trees for so many years so he can show it to his children and grandchildren. One day he decides to take his two grandchildren Elizabeth and Rodney to the forest in his car. After an adventurous trip they finally get to the forest. Elizabeth comes across a gnome known as Jasper who desperately wants to get married but cannot find a bride for himself because he cannot find any gnome community. After listening to his story, Elizabeth pities the gnome and decides to help him. Elizabeth goes and tells her grandfather and brother about the gnome and convinces them to accompany her to see the gnome and his grandfather called Knobby. Knobby is suffering from a terminal disease so his desire is to see Jasper marry before he dies. However, Knobby hates humans whom he says are responsible for destroying all the forests which is the habitat of the gnomes. They all decide to leave on a small trip to assist Jasper search for other gnome communities. As they journey along, Knobby gets into a bitter argument with Mulrooney after he finds out that Mulrooney also takes part in logging activities. Horatio kidnaps Jasper and Knobby and he also confines Mulrooney in an asylum for he thinks he is insane for dealing with the gnome but he succeeds to escape the asylum and with the help from Elizabeth and Rodney they rescue Jasper and Knobby too. They all return to the forest where they are amazed to locate a genome community from which Jasper finally finds a bride called Violet.
