A tramp, George Arliss as the Guv'nor, is mistaken for a member of the internationally renowned Rothschild banking family. He is whisked away to a position at the top of a large British corporation, but has hardly the time to drop his vagabond ways. His time on the streets gives him a keen eye for a raw deal. This comes in handy when overseeing the money transactions taking place in one of Britain's largest financial institutions.
