At the time of its release, this 1968 British film could rightly claim to be the longest movie ever to see public release. Running a full 48 hours, the aptly titled film tested audiences' patience, and that was part of the point, as the film could be considered "high art." There is no story to speak of, rather an endless series of completely unrelated television commercials, news reel footage, movie outtakes, and other found footage that would have otherwise ended up on the cutting room floor. Although the film has since been overtaken by more-recent, even longer movies, it still may be the most meaningless.
