The Memory of Justice is a 1976 documentary about wartime atrocities. Marcel Ophuis directed the film. It features a large eclectic cast of characters ranging from the folk singer Joan Baez to Hitler's architect Albert Speer. The film was inspired by a book by Telford Taylor titled Nuremberg and Vietnam: An American Tragedy. The Nuremberg Trials are still the benchmark by which we measure war crimes and abuse, and the bulk of the film is dedicated to the questions that Nuremberg raises. This is thought provoking film that is particularly relevant in our contemporary context. The war on terror that confronts us with all sorts of ethical questions.
