The Panman: Rhythm of the Palms follows the rise to fame and fall of famed steel pan drummer Harry Dan, a man out of St. Martin who sacrificed everything and forsake his family for his music. The movie goes deeper into his life and his turbulent relationship with his protege Jacko, who he takes under his wing from a young age and teaches pan music. Shot in the Netherlands, the film was based on an earlier play called "Rhythm of the Palms." It won the award for top feature film at the Hollywood Black Film Festival.
